Workshop

As an integral part of ESCAPE 37, the Workshop programme provides a dedicated space for in-depth discussions, hands-on tutorials, and knowledge exchange among researchers, engineers, and industry professionals working at the interface of process engineering and advanced computational tools.

About the Workshop

This year's workshop programme brings together international experts for interactive sessions focused on emerging topics in Computer Aided Process Engineering, including sustainable process modelling, industrial digitalisation, the integration of artificial intelligence into production systems, and optimisation strategies for the energy transition.

Each session is designed to combine theoretical foundations with practical applications, equipping participants with concrete tools they can apply directly to their research projects or industrial environments.

Key Topics

  • Process modelling and simulation with a focus on sustainability

  • Machine learning applications and digital twins in industrial plants

  • Multi-objective optimisation for supply chains and production

  • Integration of renewable energy sources into chemical processes

  • Open-source tools for process engineering

Format

Workshops will be held in hybrid format, with on-site sessions at the conference centre and simultaneous streaming for remote participants. Each session will last between 90 and 120 minutes, including presentations, practical demonstrations, and time for questions and discussion.

Registration

Participation in the workshops is included in the full conference registration. Spaces are limited — early registration is recommended via the form available in the Registration section.
